Lenvat 4mg is a targeted therapy capsule used in the treatment of several cancers, including thyroid cancer, renal cell carcinoma, and hepatocellular carcinoma. It contains Lenvatinib, a potent multi-kinase inhibitor that disrupts cancer cell growth and angiogenesis (blood vessel formation), offering a therapeutic advantage in advanced cancers. This formulation is especially beneficial in patients not responding to traditional therapies.

Uses:
  1. Differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) resistant to radioactive iodine
  2. Advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC) (in combination with everolimus)
  3. Unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)
  4. Endometrial cancer (in combination with pembrolizumab – under specific guidelines)
  5. Investigated in other solid tumors in clinical trials
  6. Used as second-line therapy in some cancers unresponsive to first-line treatment

How it Works (Mechanism of Action):
Lenvatinib works by inhibiting multiple tyrosine kinases, including VEGFR, FGFR, PDGFR, RET, and KIT.
These enzymes are involved in:
  1. Tumor angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels)
  2. Cancer cell proliferation
  3. Tumor growth and spread
By blocking these pathways, Lenvatinib starves the tumor of nutrients and oxygen needed for its growth.
