Imat 400mg is an oral chemotherapy drug formulated to treat specific cancers caused by abnormal tyrosine kinase activity. It is widely used in managing chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs), among other conditions.

Uses:
Imat 400mg is indicated for the treatment of:

How it Works (Mechanism of Action):
Imatinib inhibits the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase, which is produced by cancer cells in patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive leukemias. It blocks the signaling pathways that cause the proliferation of malignant cells, leading to controlled cell growth and apoptosis (programmed cell death).
