How it Works (Mechanism of Action):
Temozolomide is converted into MTIC (monomethyl triazeno imidazole carboxamide) in the body. MTIC acts by methylating DNA at the O6 and N7 positions of guanine, leading to DNA strand breaks, cell cycle arrest, and ultimately apoptosis (programmed cell death) of cancer cells.
